Lifestyle Photography focuses on the interactions, connections, and snuggles more so than everyone looking & smiling at the camera. It’s about celebrating life as you are right now, and being present in that moment.
I typically get a few of the traditional images of everyone looking and smiling at the camera —if siblings and/or your partner are joining. But, most of the session is about connection and those in-between moments that really help to show the uniqueness of your life + create images that you will treasure. EMBRACE THE MESS. What you think may be a disaster, I see as beauty and magic.
My focus is really all about connection. My shooting style is a laid back "go with the flow" vibe, which I find helps everyone laugh & allows for me to capture genuine candid moments. We may play silly games or I may give you goofy prompts, but it all helps you relax and have fun with the session.
We will also most likely get dirty amidst all the fun — capturing images the way I do is super important for everyone to just focus on all the play, love, and connection vs. freaking out over outfits getting dirty. Clothes can always be washed, but you can’t always take back that moment you give your little anxiety about getting messy. It can affect the whole rest of the shoot!
